This has a good mix of acoustic folk type songs, as well as some more upbeat tracks and although there are a few, shall we say more experimental, tracks on here that you can easily skip, they do add a certain atmosphere to the entire album.

I'm not complaining -- I like the rawness of it all. The only bad thing I can say is about the three electronic synth songs but they are easily skipped.

A positive way to describe the production quality is experimental -- almost like John is sitting in his bedroom with an eight-track recorder, some cheap mics, and too many electronic gadgets to fool around with (which probably isn't far off).

If you come to this expecting another RHCP album you will most likely be disappointed, but if you come expecting solid song writing and some high standard songs then you will eventually come to love this album as much as I do.

I originally got into Johns music by listening to the chili peppers, and after a while i just became mesmorised by johns guitar playing and decided to look into his musical history. Considering this was J.F's most costly album to produce, it has some good music relationships but is not my favorite of his albums. There are 2 pressings of this US vinyl release.

Selbst die kryptisch betitelten und mitunter etwas anstrengenden Elektronik-Interludes (-00Ghost27, Failure33Object, 23 go in to end) möchte ich nicht missen, da sie perfekt platziert sind, kurze "Verschnaufpausen" bieten, die Vorfreude auf den nächsten Song steigern, und ein langes (und an guten Songs sehr reiches) Album noch "reichhaltiger" und facettenreicher machen.
