I received emails only when I first contacted customer support, and, as stated above, those emails contained nothing but lies. I also like to read the written reviews of past travelers as they can put a story behind the guest’s reviews. Then I would contact the places directly to make reservations. Their website states that, "We will be open and honest with you on the status of your refund and we will be sending you regular updates by email between now and when you receive your refund."

Hostel world are saying they cant refund until April next year.

i booked and paid a holiday in january, now i get the message my hotel is not open due to corona (nice that they know it half a year earlier...) and they want to give me a coupon for their website. Told me there where refunding for weeks so I wouldnt file action with credit card then no refund till 2021.

Very poor show hostel world I was told I would receive my refund after 10 days, then I was told it would be 20 days, then I was told it would be 6 weeks (at which point 6 weeks had already elapsed). I do not feel like a valued customer; I feel cheated. MN Ferringhi Inn was recently renovated and decently-priced, located at the northern end of the island. I will definately contact a lawyer. I usually find plenty of choices for Hostels and I have already booked many of them as I visited 22 European countries in the last 2 years!
