*Budget breakdown at the end of the post! you have covered most of the main sights of Norway. This place is absolutely spectacular and a sight worth the trip alone! For people who are reasonably fit, it takes about 3.5-4 hours but has some pretty amazing views to offer!Be sure to make it to Memrubu before the last boat leaves at 4.30 pm (in the summer) or else you might have to hike the entire way back or worse, stay at Memrubu for the night.

Be sure to visit Bryggen – the amazing UNESCO World Heritage site in the middle of the city! Also be sure to hike up (or take the funicular) right up to Floyen, especially on time for sunset – the view of the city from up here is amazing and at sunset, it’s nothing short of spectacular!Get up bring and early for the train journey.

It’s a frequent ferry and you can buy the ticket on board. Maybe I’ll be able to sneak over there after I visit Sweden this year!Unfortunately yes, Norway is as expensive as they say it is. I have only been to Oslo, Bergen, and Stavanger (and loved it!) Day 1: Oslo As most flights land at the capital city, it was the obvious choice to start from. Many people do it without the correct level and find themselves in trouble. This is a perfect destination for us. Very comprehensive and precise!Norway is certainly a beautiful destination, but man, is it expensive! Fly from Trondheim to Bodo, rent a car and take the ferry to Lofoten (3 nights). It’s a medium toughness hike that starts from Gjendesheim and goes around the beautiful long green lake towards Memrubu (about 8 – 10 kms). Especially if you like hiking I went to Oslo back in January 2015 as part of my first solo travel adventure – while I didn’t venture out of the city, I did see a few of the things on your list above, including Frogner Park.

For hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, this Norway itinerary is perfect. Be daring and stand on Kjeragbolten, hike out to Trolltunga and pose for the camera, enjoy epic views out to the Atlantic Ocean from Romsdalseggen, and hike Norway’s most popular hike, Pulpit Rock. Your Bergen Card gives you free travel on the airport shuttle bus (or you could take a taxi back – up to you).Arrival Ålesund airport from Bergen. I love your line-upThe crystal green Oldevatnet Lake looks stunning and camping beside it would be quite an experience! ?I'm a travel blogger and storyteller who loves adventure, food and wine, roadtripping, camping, hiking and everything crazy! However, we are not very city people and wanted to explore more of the rugged nature, so we decided to limit our time in Oslo to just 2 days. The city centre is about 40 kms from the airport; if you plan to stay in the city for a couple of days, it may not be ideal to rent the car from the airport itself as the city centre has parking issues.

Norway Day-to-Day Itinerary for 14 Days. It really is a gorgeous country. In what seems to be emerging as a pattern here, Alesund is actually very walkable (even more so than Bergen or Stavanger) so go exploring this picturesque matchbox town and see what delights await you.1. All around Oslo and Bergen. Adding it to the bucket list ?? Also great for making up for those photos you didn’t get to take on your way out.Fly to Ålesund. Its so picturesque and looks like the drive is half the adventure!Oh yes, truly said, the drive is half the adventure This 10 day itinerary of Norway sounds like a really epic trip. Of all the Norwegian fjords we’ve visited thus far – this is where we found the most wildlife – we’re talking seals, porpoises… etc.Spend a morning exploring Flam on foot – this will take you mere minutes – it’s fairly small!Head back to Bergen. Thanks for sharing.Norway has such amazing scenery, you must make it there and try to do it as a road trip Solid Itinerary ..

The region and places covered are indeed the stuff that dreams are made of. Take the airport express train from the airport to city centre (best and most convenient way to travel from airport to city, takes 20 min only).Flåm city centre is very small with hardly 3-4 cafes, restaurants and a few shops.

The zigzag Trollstigen road looks quite an adventure!
