| Rating: D+ Oscar-nominated director Donald Wrye takes the helm for this remake of his own 1979 ice skating melodrama staring Robbie Benson. Nothing amazing, and found my attention wandering towards the end, though the skating scenes were good. The road to becoming a champion is tough and forced to leave her family behind and eventually causes the break up between her and her boyfriend. This is a great old film, with lovely performances from the actors, sweet and well done, with a beautiful score sung by Melissa Manchester. Browse.
