Adelphi, Limestone, LeMoyne, Mercyhurst and a score of others offer some really great lacrosse options, and pull in some truly high level players. After talking to other parents who have students at Div III schools, they all say the same which is if you want less school debt don’t go Div III. As you move down the ladder, it becomes less about NCAA lacrosse and more about competing and participating.
You also have schools like Cortland and Salisbury, where 120 kids per year want to play varsity lacrosse. No way, no how. I am a sophomore in HS and will hopefully make JV this year. So it really is a matter of what you want to do. Some are long-time “ok” programs, others are newer programs on the rise. Pretty cool. Some have coaches who needed to be fired long ago.
