That workbench was a great build for me. I value your privacy and will protect it. For the top, I glued together two pieces of 3/4″ (19mm) plywood, making it beefy and perfectly flat. I built one of these too and I really like it. I’m going to adjust the dimensions a bit to match the table saw height and length.If just for an outfeed, its way over-engineered for that, think 1x rather than 2x stock, glued and screwed it would be plenty sturdy.Right on.

Now my Mom wants one! When I built it, I reasoned that its size would be handy for cutting full sheets of plywood and for assembling large projects. It’s great to have all this info together in one place and to have the support of all the other classmates to share techniques, questions, issues, etc.I am doing the class right now as well. I use it as an outfeed table, chop saw stage, and other random projects as I need.I had never made a wood project in my life until a few months ago and this was one of the first real projects I completed. Size – I needed a workbench that could accommodate the largest material I might find myself working with: a 4’x8′ sheet of plywood. I’m planning on building one of these for my cramped garage to serve as an outfeed table!
