The catchy melody of the original, coupled with Elías López’s supremely elegant arrangement, foreshadow the advent of the lighter and highly commercial style later known as salsa romántica. This is definitely way too progressive for that time period, (as with much of Fania's artist releases at the time). GUAGUANCO DEL ADIOS is another dance classic that will make you groove to its beat.
